Re: MK1 interior bits
Ted, re the indicator stalk, they often work loose and 'come away in you hand' when the small screw at the base of the stalk works loose and in extreme cases falls out. Then the stalk flops around with only the thin wiring keeping it attached to the column. Just a thought....

Re: wanted speedometer
Pre facelift 2500 cars (technically should be referred to 2.5PI) all have black painted bezels, although they were chrome underneath; alternatively it isn't difficult to change the bezel over if you specially want chrome. What instruments have you got now? Good 140mph PI speedos are, as with other P...

Re: Boot lid chrome strip wanted.
If you not got fixed up by now, then I have several to chose from! Problem would be posting it safely to avoid damage unless you are local to Lancashire! Let me know if you still need one. John

Re: One for the Lancashire boys?
By the way, the Royal blue Mk1 is 'coming home' this afternoon after 24 years in storage, so let battle commence! 5 weeks and counting down![/quote] Got the Mk1 home without incident with the assistance of Dave B (much appreciated)! It has survived its 24 years remarkably well. I have got some pics ...

Re: One for the Lancashire boys?
Well I totally disagree! Tatton is a great show..... I have been going twice every year since about 1990 and find the standard of cars improves every time! The only thing that isn't quite as good as years pass is the auto jumble, but that is purely down to the availability of quality / genuine parts...

Re: Early MK2 Front Wings
Talking of Mk1 'carry overs', my 1970 Valencia 2000 Mk2 has a Mk1 water transfer pipe ( running behind the manifold to the water pump housing). I only found this out when I decided to change my slightly rusty original for a stainless one from CW, and the Mk2 pipe wouldn't fit... The old one was the ...

Re: One for the Lancashire boys?
And I thought for one second you had been 'converted' Colin! Tatton Park was very good - especially weather wise.... We had 8 Triumphs on the Saturday and 7 on the Sunday (which was unusual, as we normally have a higher attendance on Sundays). It just seems to get busier and busier every year. Over ...

Re: One for the Lancashire boys?
What impresses me the most Colin, is the fact that you were doing a search for Omegas!! Have you seen the light? Or is it a case of "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em?!!!!" I would agree with Dave - having, well, shall we say, several of them, they are very under-rated cars, lovely to drive (especiall...

Re: Gaydon Star90
Equally disappointed that I missed Star90, but being in Bulgaria at the time was my excuse... posting this whilst in a traditional Bulgarian restaurant overlooking the Black Sea has slightly made up for it........although there aren't any Triumphs here! A different story if I fancied a Lada or a Tra...

Re: Indicator Repeaters.
Without labouring the point, wasn't the NKC part no. only a replacement number when many of the 6 digit part numbers were replaced by 3 letters and numbers, i.e. 150924 became GCP195? I'm certain the actual lens was the same, but had a new style of part number. I still have only seen three types of ...
