Re: Headlining refreshment

Not had to do any tobacco stain removal any time recently, but I recollect using Ambersil Groom fabric / upholstery cleaner in the past. I've used many different upholstery cleaning products previously, but Groom definately seems to be one of the better ones.

Re: Front brakes not releasing

At the end of the day though, you have a result! I must say I admire your determination / enthusiasm to remedy the issue which you appear to have been successful in doing! Well done!

Re: Front brakes not releasing

I'm glad you now appear to have sorted the issue, although I don't quite see the connection between the handbrake adjustment and the front brakes binding - or have I missed something???

Re: New heating pipe olive

There are different pipes for different models in the range - CW supplies them all. I have one on my Mk1 2000, early Mk2 2000 (which uses a Mk1 2000 pipe), my 73 PI and also on my S, but none look remotely like the one in your photo.

Re: Towing capacity

I used to tow a Fleetweed Colchester 1300/2 caravan with most of my Triumphs - Mk1 2000/Mk2 2000/ 2500S and years ago a much heavier van with my Mk2 2.5PI.
The weight of the Fleetwood was 820kg with a max permissible weight of 1100kg - although I think you'd be hard pressed to load it to that weight ...

Re: Compatibility between 2000Mk 2 & the 2.5 PI

The sumps are indeed different - the 2000 sump is part no. 308570, and the 2.5PI / 2500 sump is 307834.
