Re: 2500 TC has the wrong head ?

I cannot see that the axial thrust on the main bearing cap as well ...

Re: Overdrive stopped working
Thank you Mike. Well, with some fiddling with the connections and checking that the voltage at the switch was the same as at the solenoid I topped up the gearbox (1/2 litre) and took it for a test drive ( always a pleasure) and lo and behold overdrive now works fine ! I see we don,t live too far apa...

Been underneath and checked that I get current to the solenoid but only 11 volts and although I can hear the inhibitor switch clicking I cannot feel or hear anything from the solenoid. Does the solenoid just unscrew using the appropriate thin spanner ?...

Re: 2500 TC has the wrong head ?
I do understand the function of crankshaft thrust washers. I hesitate, as a newbie on this board, to contradict anyone but my engine most definitely had two thrust washers covering 360 degrees and I am puzzled why one is very badly worn but not the other. Perhaps someone just managed to feed one new...

Re: WANTED - rocker assembly and pushrods
OK now got the engine home, but it will have to wait a while before I get to look at it properly as I have two other engines ahead of it awaiting rebuilds.(Little A series for two friends with A35s which I can do with my eyes closed), As far as I can tell what I need is a timing cover, rocker assemb...
