At last after 7 years all body work done and Primed with 2 pack Hi-build, she goes off to the painter. He takes one look and says "really good job for an amateur, but we need to rub it down again and reprime with my brand of primer" A day later and $1000 bucks lighter, she goes into the booth, i nea...

New parcel shelf with Hi-mount brake light and colour coded speakers
Hi All Whilst the rear window was out I took the opportunity to redo the parcel shelf and add a Hi-Mount brake light (LED) as required here in OZ (probably could get away with not having it as it's a classic car on special rego, but it is better as most of us over here don't seem to understand braki...

Re: sports exhaust/extractor manifold

FWIW you should get an improvement in gas flow resulting in more Hp. Should!!!!!!!!!!! Probably better to have the head rebuilt with unleaded...

Re: Points gap?
gday sal, according to my manual its either a 25D6 or 45D6 Might pay to check the wear on the dissy shaft bearings, excessive wear causes the points gap to vary resulting in uneven spark and variations in the timing. Also check the mechanical advance gubbins under the points plate. If it's worn I'd ...

Re: Mystery Motor

apparently it has an AC delco ECU which is GM so it maybe came off a locally built Holden commodore. Maybe!!!!!!!!!!!!!
too many maybes, but I know that someone in OZ has done this with Commodore bits before and made it work.
