Hello Torque2me,

with respect to the current draw, my experience over very many years is that my fan doesn't switch in except for the rarest of occasions. I don't have an engine driven fan by the way. It is not a cure for a poorly performing cooling system however.

Hello Sal,

the parts book shows the sliding joint end goes to the gearbox.

However I'm sure there are others who say the opposite and I don't expect that you will notice any differnce?

i've never heard of both points and electronic being fitted together, very handy if the electronics die as they used to?

Yes, distributor degrees are half engine degrees.

OK, I'm not familiar with the powerspark system, and I assumed it was an add on to the Lucas distributor.

I don't know if you'll find much agreement of your view on the 6-2-1 system though.

Hello Gary, The Triumph curves are the basis for what you need, but because you are running a modified engine it may need slight tweaking. Other than using a rolling road, the old method of performance timing can be used. Most performance Triumph sixes use a 6-3-1 manifold which performs much better...
