Re: Door and windcsreen rubbers

Thanks Johnnydog Been to CW's site and he has everything except the door window outer seals (Listed but out of stock) Waiting on a local supplier but he's not answering the phone. The profile he has for the door seals is indeed different to the OEM ones on the car (updated apparently in 09/19) but ...

Re: Hello

Welcome to the Forum! I guess that having owned or for over 50 years, you probably know it inside out! However, a good deal of useful info can still be found on this Forum if needed!

Re: Door and windcsreen rubbers

I know they would be very difficult to find, but personally, I'd try first to find genuine nos rubber seals, as long as they are still packaged and have been kept well. My experience of aftermarket door and rear window seals isn't particularly good. The compound of the rubber is a lot softer than th...

Re: 3.45 diff wanted

Have you got the anti roll bar parts you need? If not (as you will no doubt know) you will need the cross member (there are different ones depending on the age of the car), the tie bars, drop links, the ARB itself and the clamps / bushes. If you need any of the parts, I have used ones, although I wo...

Re: Hello from East Yorkshire

Hi Binny, Welcome! It sounds like you have a bit of work to do on the car, although I'm sure it will be worth the effort you intend to put in to it to get it repaired. PI's are one of the more desirable models currently, and I'm certain you will get plenty of pointers on here regarding any work you ...

Re: 3.45 diff wanted

Hi David, It isn't a major job to change the diff, but if you are lying on your back, they soon get quite heavy  It is a lot easier with a pit / lift with the assistance of a transmission jack. Both drive shafts and propshaft are best removed for the time it takes. If you don't remove them, th...

Re: mk1 steel wheel

The 1966 Mk1 I had (be around 33 years ago!) was Wedgwood which in my opinion suits them. Whilst owners like to it their personal touch on a car, keeping them standard is my preference. Well doneToby! It looks well!

Re: Petrol leaking from filler cap

Hi Bill, We are both fine, thanks - had the AZ jab last weekend, which was great for my peace of mind! I didn't realise that a small detail of a petrol cap was made so over complicated by Triumph! I have only ever known the fitting like those in my photos. If any of my Triumphs that had a locking pe...
