Re: WANTED
Are you still after these black door pulls for a Mk1? If so, do you want the late ones or the earlier ones with a cover for the screws? If you want the later ones, I may be able to help if you want to pm me. John.

Re: Rare/desirable options...
Regarding these early heated rear windows, the broad element adhesive type with the trailing wiring that disappeared under the parcel shelf were quite conmmon, but this type was an accessory rather than an option. The element in the type I'm refering to were bonded to the interior surface of the gla...

Re: Rare/desirable options...
Our Triumphs really preceded the days when options were available - you bought a 2000 or 2.5 and that was exactly what you got! However, on later Mk1's, one factory option was the heated rear window. It wasn't like the Mk2 hrw - it was very similar to the heated front screen currently available on F...

Re: TRiumph 2000 National Update
Well I hope the red car (DDD) passes too! Only being selfish really, as I recollect you saying that if Plan 'C' or 'D' comes into force then you could tow my caravan back for me.....?? But that won't be necessary, will it, as the Mk1 WILL be finished and towing the caravan down itself, rather being ...

Re: TRiumph 2000 National Update
Well I'm truly burning the midnight oil now to get this Mk1 to the National - 1.30am and I'm just about to flop into bed with an intended 7.30am get up to continue.... Replacement fuel tank (old fuel was like teacle and had left a solid deposit (!?) in there), all fuel lines cleared out, new rubbers...

Re: TRiumph 2000 National Update
And you are worrying about an MOT Dave? I've got 24 years of inactivity to rectify if I want to get the Royal Blue Mk1 to the National!!!!!.... And it is still registered PLG, so that's another half day wasted going to the LVLO at Preston to get it changed to Historic Car taxation class - and it has...
