Were a Triumph family really and run a 1300 Dolomite as a daily still.
1300 FWD's a great little cars and tax exempt, we really should have kept ours, but sold it when we bought the house.
1500 Dolomites are a nice drive but don't rev the engine over 4.5k for long periods or you will knock the main ...

I always wanted a MkII 2500s in pageant blue after seeing one in a dealers back in the 70's.
Now I have a Mk1 2000, that scares children and everyone stops dead in their tracks to look at!

The Triumph designed 2.3 and 2.6, 6 cylinder engines were designed by Mike Loasby as far back as 1970, as a developed version of the 2.5 block with overhead cam... Initially!
It was initially planned to fit in the MK II 2000 shell and SD1 and with a bore of 86mm could have gone as far as 2.9 ...
