i would also like to give a final report, after i have now changed to a mechanical pump: a friendly triumph-owner gave me an original-pump (which was never refurbished with recent parts of questionable quality)...i gave the pump an external-clean, also cleaned the glass bowl internally...pumped some...

do the seat runners / the mounting points share the dimensions from other Triumph cars that epoque? like the TR6?

my car has a carb-ed 2.5PI engine fitted (the engine definately came from an original 2500Pi Saloon )

Fuelpump spacer or not?
as my car came with an eletric pump, with the hole in the block for the mechanical-pump blanked, i woud like to ask if a mechanical pump (in case i would like to fit one) would need to be fitted with a spacer or not?

i would prefer to have a classic looking bucket seat...not something modern-looking or from a modern car....it should be period.

are you sure you have the matching diff to your engine and not a "longer" ratio? this would kill the performance of any 2l engine
