Re: Where have the aerials gone!!!
Funnily enough, I am looking at options to replace mine as the top button has gone AWOL. External aerials aren't any good on their own for DAB, I suppose that has killed demand to an extent, that an the opportunity to seal up a potential water ingress point when restoring a car means that some holes...

Re: cut-outs after reving above 4500rpm
Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? It would be useful to see if the pressure is dropping at higher RPM, that would suggest either too narrow a fuel pipe or, more likely, a tired pump.

Re: 2500S engine reluctant to start and barely runs.
Have you checked the security & condition of the engine earths? Perhaps a clean up & re-securing might be in order.

Re: Mk1 PFL Estate
After what feels like a long time, the Estate drove out of my garage as a 2.5 PI car, it’s not running quite right yet but the major work is done.

Re: Mk1 PFL Estate
Cutting a long story short, I now have a running 2.5PI setup in my Mk1 2000 Estate. The car isn't roadworthy yet, there are a few things I still need to address, I want to fit copper fuel lines, I am not happy with the nylon pipe running close to the exhaust. The PAS pipes are weeping, will try putt...

Re: Mk1 PFL Estate
Today I fitted the rocker shaft & adjusted the tappets, then I moved to the rear of the car and removed the fuel tank. With my car being a PFL model, it had a smaller tank than the later estates, I wanted to fit the later tank. In order to get the larger tank in, I had to remove the O/S floor suppor...

Re: Mk1 PFL Estate
The head is no fitted, water pump fitted, manifolds test fitted, no sign of any interference, will fully fit them tomorrow. Awaiting return of the fuel pump so I can progress the fuelling system.

Re: Heater refurb
I had no heat from the units in my Mk1 Estate or Mk1 GT6, in both cases I was able to restore service by flushing the matrix through. It doesn't seem to take much for these units to block up, well worth trying to flush, both ways if possible, and see if that restores service. The Mk2 heater valve co...
