Re: Milestone Classics

Hi Guys - As Charles said, I bought the Blue Mk1 from Milestones last year. I was happy with the price and due to lockdown I bought sight unseen. The photos were an accurate reflection of the car. If I was nitpicking I'd say the fact the video of the car stopped short of showing me the modifications...

Used Mk1 Tow Bar - free of charge

Hi All A couple of months back I stripped out a lot of 'extra' wiring to simplify the car and remove lots of cut ends and superseded electrics. That included the wiring to my tow bar. I've now removed the physical tow bar. Free of charge to anyone that can make use of it, the tow bar was fixed to th...

Re: Tyre size for TR& wheels

I had these (TR6) wheels on my Mk1 and they had 185/65/15 tyres.
I've now gone back to 175/13 (just personal preference to have the original wheel trims back on). The speedo is noticeably less 'wobbly' than before but I had no issues with the TR6 wheels.

Many thanks. Its with the help of the Forum and the register members that the car is slowly improving. I'm just the current custodian ! Glad wheels are done and Mk1 steering wheel fitted (although no horn at present - I just couldn't get the horn brush to fit in the steering wheel - manual says ligh...

Re: mk1 steel wheel

Hi All - Just to finish this thread - photo taken today of the wheels plus sparkly trims on the car. A huge thanks to Charles for the rims. Outer wheel trim from CW and centre caps from ebay. That's one job finished, but with classic car ownership there is always another job round the corner ... on ...

Re: Petrol leaking from filler cap

Many thanks. Just checked and too many layers of paint to make out the body number but as I have the 3 prong version it would suggest my body number will fall within the ranges in your extracts. I'll take off the plate and clean the paint off so I can note the body number just for the record. Ordere...
