Thank Ian, but still a bit of a conundrum!

I was informed once that yellow paint on the output shaft was 2000 and red was 2500 but I’m not sure that rings true now.

I think as it’s stamped M 3 4 on the back plate casing I’ll assume it’s a 3.4 (2500) just a shame you can’t tell for certain from the ...

Trying to understand if the diff I have is 3.7 or 3.4, I understand 3.7 would be 2000 & 3.4 would be 2500

Stamped on the outside casing is MBB6167 and on the surface where the back place meets the diff is M 3 4 ( I know that would suggest 3.4 but want to make sure before getting all ...

My diff is leaking slightly but no time to fix right now however need to ensure it has enough oil in it.
Can anyone confirm that you fill from the fill bung and when it starts leaking back out that confirms it’s at the right level?

Also… what oil should be used?

I don’t mind the mk2 mirror look but they do seem to be quite a way down the door so as to not obscure the quater window/ glass, now I’m not so sure!

Do you have a picture of the clip on option? Is this what you mean by ‘period’
