Talking to Sharon yesterday it would appear that we have over 50 Triumphs booked for the National now.
Hope you are all ready.....or nearly ready and have saved your pennies for Ice cream.
Only 56 sleeps to go now.....woohoo!

Re: Gearbox differences
I had an MB A type box on my pi when I got it John and it made no difference tbh. Not sure if it had the PI O/D on it or 2000 one. It still worked fine, even on a couple of trackdays.
I spoke to Andy Roberts about it and he said basically the same as Charles.

Re: Hello from Australia
The TC and S had the same engine from May75, so all S models have an MM engine number.
The give away is the long inlet manifold and SU HS6 carbs on the TC/S engine. Earlier TC engines had HS4 carbs and shorter manifold.

Re: National 2018 update
I can't imagine that your wife wouldn't enjoy it. It is (if you go for the week) a week long social with the common bond of the Triumphs bringing us all together. Already planned for the week are visits to the Zoo and a train, boat and bus ride day. Many members plan their holiday year around the Na...

Re: Barn Find Triumph Pi
My PI has it and the cast alloy plenum jntake. I have a spare bonnet for the estate off another early PI with the pads on still too.Charles H wrote:The parts book list them for PI models only. Seem to think they are perhaps only on the early cars with the side to side slatted plenum intake grille.

Re: The return of JO
Colin, why is your number plate looking for cameras? It's mounted there to divert air into the lower valance air intake Dave, aids the cooling and also acts as an air dam to hold the front end down, that's the idea anyway. Nice looking car though........... for a Mk1  Like you Dave I am ...

The return of JO
After too long without a big saloon on the road, I have finished a few items needed to get the mk1 on the road after a period of changes to it's BMW running gear and systems and a change in ownership from Andy Borris to me. I have always loved this car after driving it a few years back at Stoneleigh...
