I registered my 2500s estate last friday and happily did ca. 150mls in it. Starts first time, never misses a beat and drives quite well, except that it feels very powerless and wont rev past 3.500-4000.
On very low revs you can feel the grunt that comes from the capacity but over ca. 2500rpm that´s ...

Re: Distributor for Triumph 2000
Hello all this is my first post on the site . My rotor arm broke up and the parts fell into the distributor bending the lower plate and breaking the spring location turrets on the bottom plate . I want to get a replacement distributor with electronic ignition . The distributor is an ( I think ) a ...

Re: Electronic ignition
Hello Tony,
no I'm not a fan for a few reasons, I don't believe that they give any appreciable performance gains over a sound points set up , they can and do fail terminally and I don't have any problems or have to adjust my points on a frequent basis. Therefore, for me, it is an unnecessary ...

Re: Mk2 Facelift PI 1975 HFG 610 N
Turncoat? Not at all Lee, this is what I intend doing with my pi, I have the wheels and some NOS trims. Sooooooo much better than resorting to Stag/S alloys (uurgh!)
BTW Roy Gascoigne's beautiful sapphire pi featured at the NEC and December SIXappeals cover car has 14" Stag wheels and trims ...

Re: Mk2 Facelift PI 1975 HFG 610 N
The idea is to upgrade and do slight alterations... I will be putting Stag brakes on and Stag wheels.
Hello Lee,
This sounds like an interesting project. I quite like the look of the early Stag 14" steel wheels with stainless steel trims fitted to a Pi(didn't the facelift Pi's have them anyway ...

Re: WHAT WOULD THIS BE WORTH?
Price is in NZ Dollars. About 1500 GB pounds.
Hi Tony,
IMHO £1500 is not too far off the mark for the Pi for sale. I would think in the UK it would more likely be offered for sale at around £2000-£2500, as it is a low mileage, tidy example. Book values for genuine 2.5/2500 'Pi' and 2500 'S' cars ...

Re: Bottom end knock
The later type of conversion has a more complex, self adjusting arrangement with a flat seal on a spring loaded plate. This is supposed to work better, but I've never had one to examine.
Worth a look maybe?
Hi,
I had a look at the spin-on filter assembly today on my Pi and found I had one of ...

There is another possibility -
