Re: Auxiliary oil feed to rockers

Thank you gentlemen.

I side with the view that, if restricted, it will cause no harm.

When I needed a full pressure feed to a turbo, I tapped it off the pressure switch via an adapter and I had no issues with that. (Not a Triumph I hasten to add)

Re: Auxiliary oil feed to rockers

Thank you Charles. I have read that it works if you restricts the flow so as not to rob the lower end of oil. I see that the oil arrangements for the rockers is intermittent and is much less than I see on other engines that I have built (non Triumph, mostly A series and Fords) the latter all spray o...

Distributor fitting

On a test run (stupidly without tools or phone) on the "old" 2 litre engine I stopped to open the bonnet and adjust timing and the engine cut. It was soon obvious that the distributor was not turning at all and I thought the drive had failed. However the reason was that it had jumped out of the clam...

Auxiliary oil feed to rockers

This is a question to which I should know the answer. I know that there are very mixed opinions on this, but I have the kit from CW but I have no idea how to fit it ?

Re: Mk2 beige material driver's seat

I have a pair of front seats in the right colour to go with the brown carpet, both in excellent condition. Only selling because I have replaced them with Alfa seats in leather

Re: Flywheels

I have at last been able to make progress on this long long build. The flywheel on the "old" engine which has a short back crank is very different to the one I bought, which cannot fit because it would foul the backplate before it met the crank. The differences are very obvious and I have taken phot...
