Re: Engine ruuning on (dieselling) fix
Gday An update on how this should be configured. It turns out that the valves are DEFINITELY not rated for continuous operation. Mine just failed after 1.5 hrs operation. Not continuously but in short trips. Investigation reveals an interesting thing, these happily pull in at 6volts and run reasonab...

Re: Engine ruuning on (dieselling) fix
The final version of the engine cut-off valve now incorporates a Non return valve in the fuel tank/float bowl breather line. When running this allows air to the tank and floats for full fuel flow. This was found to be necessary on my car due to the multiple changes to the emissions set up. The origi...

Re: Respray?
Gday mate a lot will depend on if you can find an old school painter who'll use old paint. The current breed (here in OZ) won't even talk to you if you mention acrylic etc. All they'll use is 2pk. My 2500S cost me AUD$2000 just for the paint (water based base colour and 2pk clear) And then they insi...

Re: Change Sealed Beam MK1 2000 Headlights
HI Ken don't know why no one has replied to your post, however fwiw, you might put self tapper clips (AKA speed fasteners) behind the panel for insurance. Also you might upgrade the headlight wiring (you're fittting a relay on the low beam?) My mark 2 has the loom run down the driver's side of the c...

Re: PI engined 2500S here in OZ
Gday Just answered my own question, the seller contacted me to say that a previous owner had fitted the PI engine. It has an overdrive also. Apparently goes very well.
Anybody here in OZ it's on gumtree at 16k somewhere in NSW, worth a look

PI engined 2500S here in OZ
Hi Guys just came across an ad for a 2500S here in OZ
Pics show a tidy PI engine under the bonnet mated to a 4 speed manual waiting on news as to an overdrive.
Any comments as I have always thought that the S was a HS6 SU car
Cheers
