Re: Running a pi on modern fuel

My understanding is that it is only the 95RON fuels going to E10, the higher octane ones will stay E5. Agreed - the higher octane fuels can't be achieved with E5 so if you want to avoid E10 just use higher octane fuel. V-power seems to be less stable than the others btw, Mini racers using V-power s...

Re: Running a pi on modern fuel

I've covered over 80,000 miles in 15-years in my PI often towing. It does have an unleaded head from a 2500 S and the metering unit is from Prestige Injection where Malcolm machines from new one of the internal parts specifically for unleaded fuel. Modern fuel does present running problems at high t...

Re: Heater Temperature Control Cable

No it's not!

Rimmer part number and descriptions don't match

For temperature control I need 519259 which they have listed as no longer available :(

Looking like I'm on the hunt for second hand if anyone can help please...

Heater Temperature Control Cable

I need to replace the inner cable for the heater temperature control but my parts book has a blank space where the part number would be.

However, Rimmer have 519258 listed - anyone know if this is correct for the Mark 2?

Re: White paint

A Heritage Certificate from the British Motor Museum would give you the paint details

Re: Head lamp retaining ring

Very true Johnny! I've ordered the A version from James Paddock but what throws me is that our cars don't have a full metal bowl whereas my understanding is that the Stag did... ... They should arrive tomorrow and hopefully they'll fit - and I'll be able to report good news for the next edition of S...
