Re: New fuel cap
I replaced the old one with a locking one, same problem as johnnydog, fuel spilled out. I have the one shown in the photos but the seal has deteriorated hence the need for a new cap.

New fuel cap
I need to replace the fuel cap on my Triumph 2000TC, 1978. Not sure of the size to get, is there a similar one for other cars that will fit as can’t find one in NZ that says can fit Triumph.

Rebuilt engine smoking on start up
I had the engine rebuilt by a professional rebuilder (Triumph 2000TC, 1978), on start up it smokes white smoke. They said it as condensation being winter but the car is garaged and it is coming on summer now and still doing it. Have done about 1500km since rebuilt. Any suggestions why or is it normal?

Wind noise
I have a reasonable level of wind noise appearing to come from around the doors on my 2000TC. To rectify the situation I suppose the first stage would be to replace the rubbers, the problem I have is they look ok. I saw on a website where there are adhesive additional rubbers I'm not sure if that's ...

Run in new engine build
I have just had the engine rebuilt on my Triumph 2000TC, 1977. I wasn’t told how to run it in but assume don’t over rev, change oil at 500km, watch the oil and water, anything else I should consider

The crank end-float is the only inherent weakness of this engine
Hi - I recently read 'The crank end-float is the only inherent weakness of this engine – catch it early and the thrusts can be replaced in situ, but bad cases can wreck both the block and crankshaft.' is this something that I should do? I have a 1978 2000TC, about 160km, compressions down a bit but ...

Wind noise
Hi - probably discussed previously but couldn't find a post. Have a lot of wind noise. Appears to be from a gap at the top of both front doors as there are gaps (used a torch). Any ideas how to reduce the noise? Not sure new rubbers would do a lot.
