Re: Exhaust manifold removal
The manifold to front /down pipe studs were generally prone to seizing / shearing off due to corrosion, especially if steel nuts were used rather than the original brass type. I have removed many 2000 / 2500 manifolds during my 45 years () of owning them, and never had a problem releasing the...

Re: Wheel balancing
I don't think Halfords have ever owned / been a part of or have ever 'taken over' ATS - aren't ATS (ATS Euromaster to give them their full title) owned by Michelin?

Re: Suspension data
Just another point too - any adjustment of the rear track involves the addition / removal of shims between the swinging arm shackles to the box sections - which I very much doubt they'll have 'in stock'. It's more than a 5 minute job as well to add or remove them so I doubt they will be keen to do t...

Re: Wheel balancing
It seems I may have (unintentionally!) ruffled some feathers.... Whilst I appreciate your views and understand your comments, I do not think there are many of our Triumphs out there that are so finicky that the wheels require to be balanced off the car as opposed to on it. If the wheels on your Triu...

Re: Suspension data
According to two official BL workshop manuals (AKM 3974 and AKM 3647/A) the figures differ. Re: Fuel pump
Yes, it will work absolutely fine - just make sure the operating lever on the engine side is at the correct angle as there were similar looking versions for other models where the lever was at a shallower angle. The only real difference between the two is that on some metal topped versions, the inle...

Re: Wheel balancing
I'm just wondering where the advise to balance on the car came from...? Are the wheel rims steel or the S alloy? I have never had any Triumph wheel balanced on the car, and I have never had any issue with their balancing done off the car, apart from one S alloy which turned out to be deformed. Many ...
