Re: Mk1 wider track/stance (mk2 running gear)

Hello Sal,

what Charles posted is correct but I would add that the handbrake cable needs to be extended. I made up a steel strap which bolts between the horseshoe shaped cable link and the main cable, This worked well for me and was very simple to do.

Re: Rear bulb holder(s)

Hello Kev,

that would be most unorthodox, light bars or a trailor socket has connections to several different parts of the loom to duplicate what exists on the car. A simple matter of tapping into the loom at the necessary points.

Re: Rear bulb holder(s)

Hello Torque2me,

what you are saying is three contacts plus earth, that is most unusual. Can you post a picture of it?

Re: Cork Gaskets

hello Sal,

I do use a sealer on one side, more to locate the gasket than any sealing benefit.

Re: Rear bulb holder(s)

hello Phil,

it is a copper strip attached to the plastic body, but I consider that as a pole.

Hello Phil,

the stop/tail lamp has two filaments so two poles for those and the other for the common earth return.

Hello Gowerowl,

no, both gauges are being fed from the same source. it the stabiliser that is (probably) defective or bypassed that is why both gauges will read high. The nominal voltage from the stabiliser is 10 volts, and you can buy more stable solid state ones I believe?

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge options

Hello John,

yes, I have one in my car.
They are readily available from the various car accessory vendors and probably some Triumph specialists?
