Size of the headlamp wiring...
Hi there, Does anyone happen to know the size of the headlamp wiring, the red/blue and blue/white cables from the master light switch to the headlamps? I assume it'll be AWG, not mm2. I'm asking since I've got to cut into the harness/loom near the front wing, so I can put relays in - I've upgraded t...

Rebuilding rear hubs...
Hello
I keep reading that rebuilding a rear hub is a job for pros, but I'm sure that folk here must've done it successfully! The left one on my PI feels fine, but is rumbling at high speed...
What kit and specific advice would one need?
Thanks!

Hello!
Who's going?
I'm considering tootling* up in the PI on Saturday
I understand that the Saturday is away from the campsite (Tattershall Lakes) at Jubilee Park, Woidhall Spa.

Re: Bleeding Clutch
Had to do this last week, since the slave had decided to die on me... A method recommended to me that worked quickly, using gravity bleeding: - fill new slave with fluid - hold old, still connected slave aloft - quickly switch pipe connection to new slave (ensure you've got the bracket too!) - let n...

Converting to Stag rear drums...
Hi all,
Seeing that MkII rear drums are no longer available, what's involved in converting to the Stag setup?
If not wise, then has anyone got a pair of MkII drums stashed away that they no longer need?
Thanks

Excellent, inspiring work!
Seeng the gearbox cover plate, did you fit new cage nuts? My PI's were rusted solid and I had to drill them out...

Re: Dropping the engine/gearbox...
Have no fear! We used an engine crane borrowed from Mike Stephens (thanks Mike - you'll get it back soon!) to lower the engine/gearbox onto a dolly

Re: Dropping the engine/gearbox...
Hi all, Well, that was a busy day... The engine and gearbox are out, whilst I and my gallant mate are thoroughly knackered... After all my fretting, the gearstick was actually really easy to extract, although someone had obviously been there before and the little anti-rattle spring and plunger are l...

Re: Dropping the engine/gearbox...
Now have:
- beefy trolley jack
- helping pair of hands
- decent weather forecast
Question: do I need to cap off the fuel line as I disconnect it from the metering unit or will the pump at the back effectively prevent the fuel tank from draining?
