Re: Triumph 2000 on new single cover
I'm sure it would be an article of interest, and our editor Andrew Newman would no doubt be able to advise you. He may well see your reference to it on here, but I would email him to see what his thoughts are - sixappeal@triumph2000register.co.uk What a great idea - that seems to have the makings o...

Re: Forum Administration
We have moved the Triumph 2000 Register website, including this forum, to a new hosting company. We have had a couple of initial difficulties, but It should now be working just fine and will be noticeably faster too. If you experience any difficulties, please contact the form admin, Mike Stevens.

There is a problem with the site’s security certificate, which expired a day ago. We’re working on it.

Re: Gearbox Mount
The Stag does indeed have "cotton reel" mountings, but these would not be suitable for the 2000 range (unless fitted with a Stag engine!) as the gearbox mounting on the 2000 has to stop the engine and gearbox from moving backwards and forwards. On the Stag the engine mountings do that.

I'm amazed at the attention to detail. It's really good to see that you're doing such a fantastic job. I hope I'll be able to see the car 'in the flesh' in the future. Keep up the good work, and keep posting!

For those that queried the mileage readings on the MoTs, there is a simple explanation - the speedometer has been replaced. There is a sticker on the dash showing the mileage from the one that was replaced.

Oh yes, those wheels ... Um, an acquired taste, and definitely not original! Also from the previously mentioned 2500S (and of course not a standard fitment on that either). I don't recall seeing the original wheels but there is a chance that they may still be around.

Re: Alf Hutchinson's lovely Mk 2 2000 for sale on EBay
This car was set (we think) to go to a good home, but sadly now it could go anywhere. My fear is that some dealer will try to make a quick buck out of it. It is a very nice car, but not quite as original as advertised; manual/overdrive gearbox fitted (unknown mileage, ex scrapped 2500S), 3.45 diff a...
