In an ideal world? - would love a set of genuine
five-spoke 6x15 chrome Rostyles from an early Jensen Interceptor or FF for the 'PI on steroids' look...

Once reality kicked in, however, and I worked out the likely costs of incorporating five-stud hubs on front and (especially) rear, 'twas back to boring old 'S' alloys...

According to Mike Weaver, who is restoring the 4x4 Stag engined estate at the moment (check out his blog via the CT forum!) someone with a TR5 has done this using some 5 spoke Rostyles from a Rover P5 (same as the Jensen wheels?) and some hubs that he had specially machined up!
Colin.

Thanks, Colin - have been following Mike's blog on the FF estate and he's making pretty astounding progress, isn't he?
With regard to the Rostyles, Rover P5B ones are a bit narrower (5" rim?) but otherwise much the same as the Jensen items. Early thoughts were to combine a five-stud hub conversion with a vented front brake set-up using Jaguar calipers and discs, thus killing two birds with one stone... The real stumbling block, however, would have been the back end which would probably have demanded a matching conversion to discs in order to accomodate the revised hubs (unless one could graft on suitable five-stud hubs and drums from another car - Rover SD1, perhaps?). Likely costs and other troubles just too great for my appetite/pocket, though for someone considering a serious V8 implant, it might make more sense...
Regards,

If you can get them for around £200 it would be a good buy - and let's face it, they're nice wheels and I'm not just saying that because I own an S!
