Hi Alan

I had 205-60-15 and the tyres rubbed sometimes so went for 205-55-15 with no more rubbing the spring platform on the strut on the front! but make shore you have the rear subframe as far forword as posable or they mite rub the rear arch well not yours but anyone else

Just seen the change to your signature Ken, so you won't be at Stoneleigh this year then
Congratulations mate, we will miss you, but we know it's what you wanted.

Thanks Ken and Alan for those figures. I'm beginning to think the offset I quoted earlier for stock wheels (to suit a MkI PI :ET32) might not be correct? Info from Ian at Monarch Stag suggests ET28 is the stock "fit" for Stags - which all run the same alloy as the 2500S (don't they??) So that would be 14x5.5 ET28?

That means I could legally drop as far as ET15 if necessary (allowing for the legal 26mm total track increase.) I'm thinking ET20 to 25 will be my desired offset for 7" wide rims with 205/55R15 tyres.... Any thoughts?

Ken, are you moving to WA permanently? (And are you bringing your PI out too?)

Good luck Ken. It was good to meet you at the NEC last year.

Cheers,
Mike.

I can just imagine Ken's face when we opens up his container in WA.......... is it inside, did Chatterton manage to nick it?!!

I guess he could have his revenge by airmailing me a funnel web spider!

I've taken the plunge and bought some XXR 513 15x7" ET15 rims. They're a minilite style rim and hard to pass at AUS $580 delivered for 4 from the USA. Image

I'm leaning towards 205/60R15 tyres- slightly oversize but the (non standard) engine is under geared as it is currently.

Are you sure ET15 will fit? ET20 needed rolled arches on my Mk2 - ET15 will stick out MORE??
