Triumph Dealers of the day

#1 Post by Baller » Mon Apr 08, 2019 8:31 pm

Just wondered out of curiosity , has anybody looked into the garages that there car first appeared in after shipment from the factory , I have the Motor Industry Heritage Certificate for my car and it says that it went to Wests Limited Lincoln , thought it would be a nice touch to be able to see the type of sticker that was in the window when it was new , and possibly replicate it for nostalgia purposes :D

I have the details of the supplying dealers of most of my current Triumphs, but I don't know them off the top of my head. I will dig out the details and post them on here out of interest. 'Vitessesteve' looks into the histories of Triumph dealerships, but it would be interesting to hear about the supplying dealerships of Triumphs owned by forum members. Something of interest to others??

Yes I thought it may interest some people especially if we find out that each others cars came from the same dealership then perhaps look into time scale in which they were there. :D

When I went on the 2006 National at Fiddington in Devon in my Carmine '2500S', on the Saturday, a Tahiti 2500TC arrived which was the consecutive registration to my 'S'. It was obviously a talking point, and a photo of the two cars next to each other appeared in SIXappeal.
Supplied by the same garage in Bournemouth, it was good to see that both cars had survived the ravishes of time, as most later cars had long since corroded away!
