Valencia blue

Ordered a spray can for a few chips in Valencia blue(66)and its come through much darker, its still Valencia but a darker shade,i tried it on and area in the boot that was original and untouched and there is a clear difference, its darker,i seem to think I have read there was infact 2 different shades?
But if I wanted to lighten the paint I have do I just use a couple of drops of white and mix it in until it matches.

I took the petrol cap cover off my car and took it to my local professional paint supplier, they scanned it to get an exact match and then made me up two rattle-cans for me.

You have to tell them what the existing paint is - cellulose etc.

It’s a perfect match and factors in the paint fading over the life of the car.

Hmm I have thought about this, but the paint suppliers are 30 miles away and I,am using a factors, but it still doesn,t answer why it doesn,t much on an untouched area that is out of the sun in the boot, will have to try and sort this quickly as I want to do the job on Friday!

I think I would rather travel the distance and get an exact match rather than using the paint you have and having a poor match! Plus all the work involved to prep it and repaint it when you (and others!) look at it afterwards thinking thats a cr*p match......
