Sadly, after a really nice run in the warm sunshine, I found on my return that the heater valve was leaking.
Does anyone know which are compatible?
I have found this for about £34 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JAGUAR-MK2-V ... XQya1Q7KFX
However there are a few which look exactly the same for much less. Does any one have a part number or suggestion?. Jeff

Hi Jeff,
The Triumph part number for the water valve is 570230.
The one in the link looks the same but without comparing it with an original, I can't say with 100% accuracy.
I can check Sunday morning to see if I have an original spare to compare with the new one in the link, or if I have one, whether a used one is any use to you.
John.

Re: Heater Valve
Hello Jeff,
The Jaguar MK 2 does use a valve that is very similar to the Triumph Mk 1. However I note the seller is Ashley Hinton who trades in heaters and accessories amongst other things so I suggest that he probably is correct in saying it fits the Triumh.http://www.mg-cars.org.uk/ah/index.htm.
I bought one earlier this year but from Chris Witor, and I know he charges a deposit until you send back your old unit so he can restore the steel bits and reuse them.

Re: Heater Valve
I don*t understand. If Triumph tried to use common parts, why are we going to MG or Jaguar or or to get a valve which is standard on the TR series? The TRs have the same engine, so why should they have another valve? I am not talking about quality.

Re: Heater Valve
Hi Thanks all,
I think that it was originally a LUCAS part and hence the interchangeability, just guessing, wouldn't stake my life on it or anything
