Strut mounts/bearings

#1 Post by 2000wagon » Sat Sep 16, 2017 9:54 pm

My struts are creaking when turning from lock to lock, sounds like they're trying to wind the springs up.
I'm guessing the bushes have probably seized in the strut mounts or the rubber has delaminated.
Anyway, what is the general consensus with these? Are the Rimmers repro items any good, if I do need new mounts, do I simply do bushes and thrusts or is there a roller bearing mount available.

The repro ones are awful. I put some in mine and they tore apart within weeks.
Find a pair of good second hand units, put new thrust washers in , available from Chris witor.
