#1 Post by kennyd » Thu Aug 17, 2017 12:02 pm

Hello, my 1974 2000 was not fitted with Hazard warning facilities through the indicators, I have the correct switch for the car, In advance of fitting this can anyone advise me if appropriate wiring for the switch is easy to access and where ? regards Kenny.

If you look at the wiring diagram for a later car which has hazard warning lights as standard, then that should show you what to wire where.

I am intending to do this to my 1971 PI and so will be going through the same process very soon! I have obtained the correct mating connector (from an old, later wiring loom). This, spliced into the existing loom should give me the correct connections.

Cheers,
Mike.

Basically simple and I'm no auto sparky. As Mike says, get hold of a suitable wiring diagram. I did my Spitfire using an old 2500 hazard switch that I had.

Interesting.

I have a 1974 2000 with hazard warning, and they get used twice a year.

First time when I test for the MOT, second time during the MOT......
