My 2500 is one of the Australian-built cars that has Girlock brake calipers in place of the UK-spec Lockheeds.
It seems I can get pads quite easily via eBay as many are listed specifically for 2000s/2500s with Girlock calipers but can anyone point me towards any specs for these calipers as I'm thinking of rebuilding with new pistons and seals as the car's been off the road for many years.
Were these an off-the-shelf caliper that were standard on another Aussie-built car maybe?
It looks as though mine have J47 cast onto them below the Girlock name but I can't be 100% sure, nor can I find any more info on these via Google.

Re: Ozzy Girlock calipers
The first Holden sold in Australia with disc brakes used the same calipers as the TR4, these may have been Girling. But the pads look the same as the Girlock ones in my 2500TC.Llessur wrote: Were these an off-the-shelf caliper that were standard on another Aussie-built car maybe?
May help?

Every little bit of info helps.
Might hit up my local brake place, see what they know (or their catalogues tell them)...
