Gearbox and OD weight

#1 Post by Llessur » Sun Mar 05, 2017 10:50 pm

Hi all,

Am looking into interstate shipping for an OD gearbox for my 1977 2500 and wondered if anyone had a rough idea of weight of the combined unit, drained?

Someone's suggested 35kg and someone else 60kg - does anyone have a definitive answer? I've had a good search back through threads on this and other Triumph forums but whilst the question has been asked a few times I can't find any certain answers.

Cheers all!

Sorry for the lack of updates, the advice has been very useful. Shipping is being arranged as we speak (well, type).
