2000TC instrument panel wood wanted

#1 Post by Vox » Tue Mar 21, 2017 1:41 pm

Hi all,
Further to my recent post about fitting a push/pull hazard warning light switch to my Mk 2 PFL 2000 saloon I thought that the easiest way to do this might be to get a later dash from a 2000TC that was originally fitted with one.

I don't need the clocks/switches etc (although the rear mounting plate for the switch would be handy), I just need the wood from the instrument panel - preferably in presentable condition although not essential as this is more just to try out whether I like it or not and could drill my original to match later.

So just to be clear, needs to be from a later Mk2 2000 (rather than a PI/2500 with the extra dials - unless they come with it!) and have the hole for the round push/pull hazard switch below the multi function light.

As a sweetener I have a number of new old stock Stromberg CD150 diaphragms from an ex Chyrsler dealer's stock and happy to throw in a couple of pairs as an added incentive on top of cash if that helps!

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,
I may well have a spare used facelift instrument panel wood dash piece with the hazard switch if you still need one.
However I would not be able to check until Friday.
Please let me know if you like me to check then if you don't get fixed up.

Hi all,
Johnnydog - Not in any big rush at all and can easily wait till after the weekend (I will be away anyway) or longer if you could have a look. Would want the one for the push/pull hazard rather than the rocker switch type though please.

t2000 - thanks for the offer, perhaps if Johnnydog can't come up with one I could give you a ring then?

Thanks all!

No problem. I will check Friday / over the weekend and let you know. Incidentally, I'm not aware of a 2000/2500 with a hazard light switch other than the red pull / push variety.

When I was looking at Stoneleigh and when I have looked on-line I see many with a rocker hazard switch but these may be Stag or Dolomite, although my old 1981 Dolomite 1500HL had a push/pull one so maybe not.

The early pre face lift type instruments in a Dolomite had the rocker type hazard switch. The 2000 range only got hazards at the face lift, and was the pull switch type.
