A few more pics from my list, basically showing that although surface rust was present, she was basically sound and solid...

A few more of the 'afters'..

The inner wheel arches were done way before the rear floor - there is no rusty spring there now  I was quite surprised when I finally removed everything at the rear end that the spring hanger areas etc were good...

Hi Sharron, nice to hear from you,and thank you for the words of encouragement! We are all well, and hope we find you all the same :)

Unfortunately the old girl has had to sit on the back-burner as they say for a little longer than first anticipated (as so it would seem for so many 'projects') - but a day or two has passed by and I now have a bit more time and money to throw her way so yes it has been good to do just that of late :D . I even have time for the forum again! Still a long way to go before she is fit for an MOT but my aim is to at least have her on 4 wheels again as soon as possible :)

Again, nice to hear from you,and I hope to view your latest family member 'in the metal' so to speak, sometime soonish!

Was not sure which 'area' to post this in so I chose this 'un......have lost the last 5 weeks waiting for one simple part :( - which am still waiting for.....Got to the stage of re fitting the rear brakes.
My 'NOS' Lockheed rear cylinders bought a good while ago have seized so yet another pair purchased.
Job done me thought...until I had a good look at the rear shoe re-fitting kit. The pins that hold the shoes in place looked quite pitted. Well for the sake of a few quid lets have them new as well. CW had just sold the last set the week before  So he puts me in contact with A.N.Other. Sold out. Be here in a week. Many phonecalls etc later got nowhere.... So progress stopped yet again.....

At least looking at the 'how many left' site confirms it is now super rare :D

Well it's now coming up to 6 weeks waiting, being now the 16th....and nothing. Almost tempted to do a cheeky 'if anyone has a set i'll swop you when it comes' type of post. Can't really do anything without these ruddy pins

Typical!!! But as I already paid.....
Well I rang up AGAIN the following day (thurs) to be told 'nope, still not in' even though I was told a week earlier they were arriving that week blah blah.
I think the guy got the message when I explained my anguish and came up with ' I'm sure I can find you an alternative which will be in the post today' . Why could that not of been done weeks ago
So today (sat) I finally receive them  hooray. Work can continue again :)
Incidently they are an alternative as the part number 120124 is not for the 2000,and are around 4mm shorter than my originals. Stag perhaps?
Anyways - tomorrow rear brakes. Expect a post
