hi simon,

i'm not 100% sure on the piece that you are refering to, is it the lower front wing section or the ends of the front valance ?

if you email me on lloyd.reed01@virgin.net i can send you some pics of my repair panels, and you can clarify what it is that you require ( i cant post pics on here, as i cant resize them due to a glitch in software thingy ? ).

hi all,

the 1st order of panels will be with me the last week in august. HOO BLOODY RAY i hear you all say !!!

CAN THOSE OF YOU THAT PLACED YOUR ORDER WITH BATCH NUMBER ONE ( not batch number two that was submitted about 3 weeks ago ) PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU INTEND TO COLLECT YOUR PANELS FROM MY CARDIFF LOCK UP, i need to know because i have to order and pay for boxes to be made from a packaging manufacturer for those that will not be collecting. example of price : half front wing size is around £11, so if you have ordered 4 panels times that price by 4, plus delivery costs.

PLEASE EMAIL ME YOUR REPLIES AT lloyd.reed01@virgin.net AS IT SIMPLIFIES MY LIFE GREATLY.

many thanks

lloyd

and before someone says, yes i know i still have to find a new courior so i can give you prices for delivery, dont worry i'm on the case

Great news Lloyd.

I did offer to pick up a few panels for others if I came and got mine, don't know if they would still like me to. While I am happy to wrap mine in silk sheets surrounded by goose feathers and have an armed escort it might be worth others having a box with their name on.
Will wings stack up reasonably well though ?

I've been on my hols so only just reading this. I don't mind collecting a few extra but my old Volvo 940 gets well looked after so I can't go wedging too much stuff in it !
I have been asked about a full wing for someone in Southampton, I haven't contacted them about it yet but will do.

Once upon a time I bought a le-Mans Spitfire bonnet and had that delivered. It wasn't treated very well and it caused aggro which is why I would rather go and get the wings just in case although I dread to think how much it will cost in fuel. Donations towards this would be appreciated but I can promise nothing will get chucked about.

hi all,

sorry for being slow on getting you the postage costs, BUT i am having a TOTAL NIGHTMARE finding a new courior !!

two reasons for this:
1, i'm not a company, so cant get the good rates, although i did think about setting up my company earlier than i wanted to, to get over this
2, since city link ( whom i had my acc with ) went bust, it has sent MASSIVE ripples across the courior world !! basically as city link were owner drivers said drivers would take any size box that earnt them
money.

here lies the problem, the box sizes that are required to put your panels in, no one wants to touch them, as they are so big and slow down the processing lines so much, E.G the full front wing box is 1490mm long !!

i'm waiting on one more courior to get back to me, via a mate who's going to hopefully open it through his company, just waiting on credit checks, but as he hasnt borrowed anything money wise, his credit is prob rated as rubbish, MADNESS, i will wait and see.

i have sorted with another mate of mine that runs a post office, prices to deliver them via parcelforce, only problem with that is, i gotta get all the boxes from here to bridgend, AND THERE'S ALOT OF THEM !!

SO IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS, PLEASE GIMME A SHOUT.

CONSIDERING WE ARE IN A RECESSION, YOU WOULD OF THOUGHT COMPANIES WOULD BE GRABING EVERY BIT OF WORK PUT THIER WAY !! typical british work ethic, if it aint easy they aint interested !! SAD !

anyway, here are the twin wall box prices, ONE PANEL = ONE BOX

mk2 full front wing 18.90
half front wing 9.73
front arch 9.73
rear half wing 6.98
rear arch 6.98
sill ( will take inner, centre and outer 10.00
front bowls full 12.52
front bowls repair 12.52

thanks
lloyd

Just realised I had not put this on the Forum

I am happy to help out by offering a collection point here in the Forest of Dean - can collect from Lloyd and hold them here for people to collect from me if it helps, especially if one person collects for a number of people.

I may be able to deliver over the Severn Bridge old crossing if it helps (I don't pay toll charge) to the Services, or perhaps to Gloucester.

Let Lloyd or me know if you are interested.

quick update, all other panels are done, just waiting on the full mk2 front wings, halves and arches.

I AM STILL WAITING ON REPLIES FROM MOST OF YOU REGARDING DELIVERY OR COLLECTION, CAN YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW AS I HAVE TO ORDER BOXES FOR THOSE THAT WANT DELIVERY.

postage will be by royal mail parcelforce48,

a mk2 FULL front wing will cost around £22 to zone A ( awaiting conformation, length and girth box size blah blah blah etc etc ) PLUS the price of the box, i will later in the week when time permits let you all know the prices of the ' smaller ' panel prices, but as the mk2 full front wing is the biggest panel size, you know the rest will be cheaper than the £22.

insurance comes with this price covering contents up to £100, up to £200 is an extra £1.80 and up to £300 is an extra £6.30.

sills have to go via 48large, and for ONE sill to zone A is around £40
