Historic Marathon Rally Show, Gaydon, Sunday 31st May

Don't forget - one week to go and there are about 70 Historic Cars and 70 personalities attending.

As well as the dedicated display areas for Historic marathon and non marathon cars (those that competed before 1982) there will be an area for any car that is rallying in current historic rallies and looks the part like Lee Sellar's car. Drivers will be directed to this area when they arrive if they look as though they will fit this display though there is also and HRCR display area.

I am advised that any Triumphs that come can guest on the Club Triumph area, they have a large area as the supporting Club.

Arrive before 12.00 noon when the first Historic Parade starts to get in there - no movement when the Parades are on. After that cars may be able to get into the CT area or may have to be directed into the Classic Car Parking area.

I would love to be there, but unfortunately it clashes with our big show in the North West at Tatton Park in Knutsford, can't miss that :(

Anne and I attended the show and had a good time. Lots of great cars to see.

However at Ted Taylor's request we lent the organisers some two way radios to assist with the event.

Sadly it appears that one of the radios has gone missing :(. These are expensive items, and it would be good if it could be located, so please can anyone who was using the radios check that they have not left one in their car, or their coat pocket !

I don't really want to charge the organisers for its loss (I am sure its an expense they could do without) so it would save both them and myself some embarrassment if it could be located.

Please send me a pm if you find it

Good to see you and Anne yesterday Mike, thoroughly enjoyed seeing the old rally cars again and meeting up with old friends. Sorry to hear about the missing radio, I do hope that it has been just placed somewhere and turns up.
