Known Car
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone in the club knows this car? if so is it a solid example?

Re: Known Car
Lots of discussion about this on Facebook. It's not a genuine pi, but a 'bitsa' which has been on eBay with a very high price on. Remains unsold
It's nice, but based on the previous prices, there are better around for the money.

Re: Known Car
It started life as 2000 auto, properly converted to PI spec many years ago. Nice car, but it's been through many hands in the last couple of years...
Re: Known Car
Thank you for the responses. Interesting, not overly worried about a conversion as i converted my own GT6 to a 2.5Pi. what is a little more worrying is potentially the numbers of owners recently. currently its up for a staggering £7k when it should be closer to 4 tops 5 and the garage is selling it as a PI and not a conversion.

Re: Known Car
Hardly a staggering price,-its about time the big saloon got a bit of recognition and was valued accordingly, just look at the value of run of the mill Fords etc,- makes you realise how cheap our cars really are. I saw today a Mk1 that was up for sale at circa £13k, probably wildly optimistic, but could be a marker for the future,

Re: Known Car
Don't get me wrong I would be happy to pay 7k for an a1 pi saloon in that condition to a private seller but its being sold as a pi by a garage when people who know the car say its a 2000 auto. That's a 3k increase from its auction price not that kog ago. my gt6 was never worth as much as a conversion than it would have been if I kept it in its original form.
So the question arises as someone new to the big sixes what is a true valuation for the various models in good condition?
Kind regards

But the point is, there are plenty on here who would like to sell one at that price, but I have yet to hear of someone who has actually paid that much for a similar car.
As someone already said, they are only worth what someone is willing to pay, and "I would if..." Doesn't count unfortunately.
