Len & Sandra,

(Lee, you'd better sit down for this.................)

As most people know, I am a MKII man, I just prefer them. Each to there own. Just like I know, Lee prefers his MKI's.............

However, I simply ADORE Len's MKI Estate on the stand on Sunday. It was just stunning to see such a lovely, original car..... and a rare one at that. Not many MKI estates around now are there.

Hope to see more of it Len.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments and support in putting these stands on.
A dozen mk1s, (not one of them dirty  ) and a great selection of colours, with three cars wearing two each.
Thanks also to Pete Johnson and his team at Yorkshire Triumphs in getting the green pi finished in time for the show, Norfolk Pete must be very pleased with thr results of all their hard work, can everyone remember how that car looked on the stand 2years ago.
So to sum up, thanks to everyone who helped, provided cars and braved the cold to come and see us.
And thanks Andy for bringing his BMW (Borris Motor Works) powered saloon along. I wont say I told you so.....you know how interested people were in the car and thanks for letting me try it too.

Borris Motor Works?..............

I know where there is a spare 2009 BMW M5 engine and gearbox going...............

Now that would be interesting. 501bhp anyone? I've driven a 2009 M5 and let me tell you............ OMG I want one!!!!!

May need to beef up the brakes a tad though.

and the suspension.

and the diff

and the driveshafts

and the body

In fact, lets just weld a 2000 body onto a BMW floorpan and be done with it!!!

Honestly, why can't people just drive the cars as they were built in the factory? What is with this "ooooooooh, lets have one with a V8 engine in it" all about?........... I just don't get it.

Dad enjoyed it I think but did say the number of traders had diminished once again. They need to sort out the heating too.

Glad the stand had a good turnout, though you were lucky to have Dads car there, he should never have driven all that way so soon after his op but he never does as he's told.....
