Did it come from Bedford by any chance ...... I was after some once and they were not available separately though may possibly be able to find the ones that I had off this cover (which the Bedford guy still owes me for).

You can use a fibre washer that is a tight fit on the stud and a washer to protect it before using a nylock nut to screw it down. This should provide sealing to all potential leak points.

You may be able to make the Mini ones fit - they are the ones I bought (off ebay) for my SAH covers (not from Bedford or Caister .....). If you do try them they will require the hole in the cover to be opened out and I am not sure whether the length of the stud is OK because these nuts are blind.

Have you looked into the Austin C series ones I suggested?

I'm 90% sure they will suffice

If I can find them mine are original chrome ones - the Mini ones are also nicely chromed and quite cheap.

with the alloy cover on the car, the studs dont stand above the holes so normal nuts are no good.
