John and Graham, the early Mk2 release buttons on the cars I have had were all black with white writing. The only white ones I have seen are on stags.
Hi Charles,

Were any of them inertia reel?

Graham
Yes, both static and inertia types with the plastic sheath to assist plugging in.

I can't seem to find the inertia reel ones, just the unreel static ones. So I guess I'm going to have to have the plastic sheathed bits transferred onto the dolomite belts.

Later in the week, I should know if the red and black button blocks take the same inserts or not.
