Hi John,
That would be very kind of you - I'd definitely be interested in knowing what the approximate freight cost would be. Do you reckon it would be easy enough to package so that it wouldn't get damaged in shipping?
I will find out in the morning and get back in touch.
With the correct packaging, it shouldn't be a problem!

I have checked the various ways and prices to ship a dash panel to Adelaide; I am somewhat surprised at the cost - the cheapest a mere £106.00GBP!
Probably down to the size rather than the weight. It probably wouldn't be cost effective against hopefully sourcing one local to you, unless the cost of retrimming your existing dash is particularly expensive if finding another isn't an option.
At least I tried........

Cheers John - very much appreciated. I won't write the idea off yet as sometimes stuff can be surprisingly expensive over here. I'll try to get a quote on the dash re-covering and weigh options up from there.
Simon - I'd never seen that leather dash covering before, that's an option to but ifI probably chicken out and get a professional to fit it for me...

Wow, I've just had two quotes for re-covering my dash in new vinyl - the first was from a place in SA who quoted 'from $795', the second from a place in Victoria (who I have read very good things about) who came in at $495 but shipping would add another $100 to that.
That shipping cost doesn't seem too bad now
