I do like the look of the MK1 PI steering wheel for my 2000 , who made them ? and is there any close resemblance that you can buy of the shelf today as I'm sure that a genuine one are as rare as hens teeth . :D

I think they were made by Motolita originally, your best chance of tracking one down would be via Lee Godfrey (Englishbull on here) but he doesn't seem to visit often these days, you might have better luck on the Faceache pages. Wont be cheap though, as you say, very rare now!

Yes and also very flimsy which is why they are rare, and there is nothing today with the five holes per spoke (one of the reasons they are flimsy)
I have a couple which is one for the Mk1 PI estate and one for when that one breaks!

To be honest you are better off with a modernish Motolita wheel - I am pretty sure the original Mk1 PI wheels was not made by Motolita.
