Hi everyone,
I was wondering what people's opinions are on exhaust manifold repairs. My manifold is blowing near the rear and I know that it has corrosion on the joint face as in the past I have built it up with exhaust paste to cure it. Now that the paste has failed does anyone think the high temp metal repair products like JB weld or Inferno Metal Repair are any good or am I better off just having the manifold face skimmed flat, or maybe a new replacement ? Thanks for everyone's input.
Michael Hasleden.

Re: exhaust manifold
If it's that bad, I'd be tempted to replace it with a good S/H one. I wouldn't expect it to be too expensive.
Remember that Mk1 and Mk2 exhaust manifolds are different....
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: exhaust manifold
Yes, it might be a good idea just to get one anyway and then I'll make up my mind when the old one comes off.
Thanks,
