Automatic gear box seal

Is it possible to change the out put seal to the prop shaft without taking the automatic gearbox out . If yes are there any special tools required

Yes, just prise the old one out and tap a new one in. There are seal remover tools you can but but I've never needed one, I use a screwdriver. Just make sure you dont go too far behind the seal and damage the bearing in the housing. You can remove the tailshaft housing without removing the gearbox if you did find you couldn't get the seal out in-situ.
Currently over 35 years worth of fixing 35 boxes.
Hoping to reach 65 years worth of fixing 65 boxes.
