I am wanting to rebuild a 2500 engine and have a few recessed and non-recessed blocks that I could choose from.
Is it better to rebuild a recessed block due to the supposedly better head gasket life?
Or is it better to rebuild a non-recessed block due to the ease of decking the block?
I'm not planning to race or rally the car, but plan to use it daily on rural roads - both sealed & gravel - as well as for regular long distance driving.
Which block to rebuild? Recessed or non-recessed?

Re: Which block to rebuild? Recessed or non-recessed?
Hello LRT,
the 2500 engine is not known for head gasket weakness, so I wouldn't make that a consideration.
