National update - probably a record amount of bookings with 56 people already booked, along with 28 triumphs - and the booking forms have only been out for a week.
Comforts, Comfort Plus and Premier 6 all gone. 3 Signature 6's left along with 4 Premier 4s, 4 VIP4 and 10 VIP6. 1 x Orchard Pod and 3 x Woodland pods left. Plenty of camping though!!

I can't imagine that your wife wouldn't enjoy it. It is (if you go for the week) a week long social with the common bond of the Triumphs bringing us all together.
Already planned for the week are visits to the Zoo and a train, boat and bus ride day. Many members plan their holiday year around the National week, we certainly do.
Time check 198 sleeps to go!!

Re: National 2018 update
Geoff,
as Colin says I'm sure she would enjoy it. It is very triumph based for those that want it to be but people dip in and out of the events that they enjoy and are free to do their own thing as they please.
Regards
Sharon

Re: National 2018 update
Geoff,
I have to agree with Sharon & Colin, its not all about the cars at all, there's all sorts of other things going on, as Colin has referred to. The ladies in our local group are not particularly into car related stuff, but still look forward to and enjoy the week. On the only day that is anything like car related (Saturday, for class judging & autojumble) the girls often organise themselves a trip off site somewhere for the afternoon. Get yourselves booked in and spend a week or even a few days in good company in a part of the world you may not have been to before. I don't think you will regret it!
Regards, Dave.

Re: National 2018 update
Thanks for the replys, will have a think about it, perhaps if we had an active local section and the wife met a few of the other ladies who were attending would make things easier.

Hi Geoff,
Are you a member of the Triumph 2000 Register ? It's just that the colour of your username suggests that you aren't.
Depending on where you live, I can put you in touch with the nearest Local Group Organiser in your area; they can no doubt give you a better insight of the activities at our Nationals and you can meet like minded Triumph owners. You will find write ups and photos of previous Nationals in old SiXAppeals.
If you are a member of the Register, then you need admin to update your user name to orange to indicate this!
On the subject of Nationals - I have been to every one since 1987 - the last one in Lincolnshire was my 31st! They are very family orientated, and the format of our Nationals now is based on a week long event on a caravan site / park, whereas some other clubs utilise a 'showground' over a weekend, which in my opinion doesn't really have the same family facilities and welcoming / friendly atmosphere. I look forward to it every year, and even if it was on the end of the earth, I would tow my caravan to it with the Triumph - without question!
My wife has no interest whatsoever in my Triumphs, and whilst she doesn't attend every year, the ones she has been to, she thoroughly enjoys. Unfortunately, she's not for sleeping in a 14' caravan - she prefers more luxurious accommodation, but statics are usually available these days at Nationals, but get snapped up quickly. Each to their own, but I like my little tourer!
In my opinion, your wife / family will enjoy themselves, but there's only one way to find out......

Re: National 2018 update
Hi
I joined at the NEC show, I had messaged SimonO who was going to sort out my forum status.
I Live In Farnham Common, Bucks which is near Slough.
Would be interested to find out if there is an active local group near me.
thanks
Geoff
