Dave, just give me a bell after my jollies, and I'll give you a chuck with sorting the brake issue - after all, one good turn deserves another!!!

Well folks only 33 sleeps to go. You guessed it the Pi is in bits under the car port with the diff out exhaust off and quill shaft removed.

It took over an hour to get the flange off the nose piece (some kind of threadlock on the splines). Bearing not too bad but replacing anyway it was covered in ep90.

The diff seal to replace, currently soaking in oil.

Found exhaust blowing at the subframe joint and numerous u/j bolts had started to loosen a fraction ie very easy to undo. Many new fixings ordered in anticipation of this and a new prop to fit.

Should have all this done and more by mid June.

Will be great to catch up with folks again.

Looking forward to the long drive.

Not so far for us on this occassion but a good 150miles I guess.
Let's hope it's really hot, that may cushion the blow of being in the SAAB rather than a big saloon when we are basking in the ice cold climate controlled luxury (Bet it doesn't make me feel better though :( )

Only a trifling 19 sleeps to go, we are even on the right page of my desk calendar now. Woohoo.

As it appears there has been no mention of the success of this years National at Brighouse Bay Holiday Park in Scotland, I must say that it was very very good! The site was excellent with very good facilities, although the management of the site had changed from our previous visit in 2010, and this time, being honest, did not appear to be as amenable to our visit as they could have been. However, there was a good turn out of cars, with members attending from France, Germany, Holland and Switzerland. The week was very good weather wise, sunny and warm and apart from a couple of heavy showers on the Saturday, it was very kind to us!
Several good runs out, with a treasure hunt thrown in. Superb fish and chips in Kirkudbright, too!
Many thanks to this years organisers, Gary and Virginia, Alistair Mark and Sandra for all their efforts - they know who they are!!
Anyone fancy a candle.......?
Looking forward to next years National in Lincolnshire!!
