RBRR this weekend.

#1 Post by CAR » Wed Oct 01, 2014 2:03 pm

This isn't a shameless plea for sponsorship, just a reminder that a lot of people who frequent this forum are away this weekend on the Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run.
As most of you will know it's 2000miles in 48hrs with breakfast stops at John O'Groats and Land's End and this year it's in aid of Macmillan. (search 'justgiving/RBRR' to see all the teams)

As always the vehicular backbone of the event is provided by our beloved big saloons, with almost a third of the 100 or so teams using one. It's shocking really that so many Triumph owners show masochistic tendancies when choosing their cars for the event, two thirds of the field by the look of it.

So good luck to all of the entrants and hopefully Dad and I will see some of you around the country somewhere, we are in FRanK.

Hello all you entrants for the RBRR this weekend, wish you all the best for your journey. As the event starts in my neck of the woods me and dad are going to the plough for the send off.

My Mk1 saloon Gertie will also be present on the RBRR. It'll be her second one in my ownership and third in total.

Good luck to all other 'big saloon' (and estate) entrants. :D

I too wish all entrants good luck with this year's event. We should be at Didcot Sunday evening for the last check point(?), waving everyone on!

Cheers,
Mike.

Well what another cracking but tiring weekend :D

Thoroughly, enjoyed the event again and great company.
The Big Sixes are the choice of car to do this event in.
I had three people come to me at end, at the Plough asking for any cars for sale.

Well done to all those on here that participated............

Totally agree, well done to all the entrants. It was good to see you at Didcot Lee - I hope the rest of the trip went as well and the shower, meal and sleep were worth the wait!

It brought the hairs up on the back of my neck to see - and hear - so many Triumph cars! :D

Cheers,
Mike.
