Seems a few cars up for sale on eBay at the moment. All seem to be asking around £2000.

Absolute no reason for picking this one out in particular but there have been a few on lately.

I don't know the car personally, although there is a Register sticker in one rear quarter window, but I don't remember seeing the car in the past.
It shines on the photos, but with all cars, photos can be deceiving. If you decide to view it, I would check the sills very carefully. The chrome sill trim is missing which is a clear indication that work has been carried out in that area, and begs the question why has the trim not been replaced?
The MOT history shows fails due to corrosion around the rear subframe area (common rust area), and also mentions excessive corrosion around the front nearside vehicle structure, with advisories regarding rust in the front wheelarch bowl area.
It has failed /had advisories on numerous occasions on items which I would consider are general maintainance items, which in my opinion questions how well it has been maintained.
As the later cars, including the S, were more prone to corrosion than earlier cars due the steel used in their construction, I would carefully check around the edges of the roof especially near the rear C pillar. They tend to rust around this area, and you never quite know what is lurking under a vinyl roof.....
The interior is also a little shabby in my opinion, around the parcel shelf area, the drivers seat piping is splitting, and the wood lacquer is lifting. The windscreen stainless trim is missing, and they have a tendency to leak around the screen rubber, which drips onto the parcel shelf causing water damage, and ultimately damages the carpets. It states a new windscreen seal and carpet set is in the boot (interestingly!!) There is an interesting square hole cut in drivers side of the centre console - initially I thought someone may have been trying to gain a quick access to the heater water valve which does seize, but the hole is too far back for the valve, so I'm not sure not sure why it is there.......?
If I was looking at a car for someone, and they wanted an opinion, then on the photos alone, I personally would be a little wary of this car. There is nothing that jumps out saying I am a genuine well cared for example. It looks solid under the bonnet, but not well cared for.
Good 'S' models are becoming increasingly hard to find, but I don't think this is worth the asking price.
Just my thoughts, sorry....!!
