Good Morning, a new begining

#1 Post by pete lewis » Thu Aug 21, 2014 8:59 am

Hello all , New to the Register , Having been active with a snappy 64 Vit6 we decided after 12 years of fun found getting 4 seniors inside was a bit cosy and a pain with 2 doors and seat up seat down ,in out, etc so she's sold and a month ago we purchased a 1975 Mk2 2000, Manual + OD. French Blue /Grey trim
HYA (7).jpg
its been restored in 97 but only done 10k since, the last ten years has been MOT'd but not run, only 10miles in last 10 years, so now on some serious shake down, the servo collasped to aid the excitment, all the brakes are now
upgraded to new Stag and braided hoses, all suspension rubbers replaced and new rear shocks, Im contemplating fitting power steering as the big wheel and effort are a bit lumbering. altogether pretty pleased with the machine and as purchased from Manvers Triumph where we had some excellent service and communication.
so joined the register to expand the knowledge of the big saloons and have some fun with the new arrival

Thanks chaps, that's encouraging

to answer jullian No I had a sporty 64 Cactus/black Vitesse 1600
hq 640.jpg
have done valuations for Tssc at a number of locations
but never any judging apart from local Pub meets and Duxford for my herts and beds events.
now in 3 clubs ..which hat to wear ???

I struggle with photo size as had so much aggravation with wndows8 i dumped it and had Linux added, that limits the
schemes for reduction and I have not quite got it mastered yet.

Hi Pete,

Long time, no speak.

We all seem to be migrating to the big sixes! I have a Mk2 2000 that is being completely rebuilt (it came with an MOT but must have been checked by "MOTs by post"). New running gear, new brakes, new wheels done, extensive welding starts next month, then paint and then an engine rebuild.

Still got my Vitesse Mk2 Convertible being re-built (a Herald 1200 saloon project may be arriving on my drive tomorrow).
