Hi there,
I had to re- register as I haven´t been here for quite a while, forgot my password and my old email addy is no longer valid....(former member name was _uwe_ )
I just bought a 2500s estate via ebay, car is located between Norwich and Cambridge which I´ll hopefully be able to pick up in 2 weeks.
I used to own a 2000 mk2 saloon and still own an early 2,5 pi mk1 which I have to sell now.
All have been my daily runabouts as I do not own a modern car (and most probs, never will); at the moment I´m using a Triumph 1500TC as my daily driver, which has to go now as well.
Does one of you guys have any experience with sales from germany to the uk, as I would prefer to sell my PI back to the UK.
It´s pretty much worthless in germany, as nobody knows what it is and it´s rhd, so I´d rather see it going back to the UK as have it end up as a winter banger for some motorbike guy. That happened to my 2000 2 years ago...
Where would the best place for a sale be, besides here of course? Ebay? Do you think it´ll get any bids as it´s located in germany?
Although I do have a guy who could bring it to the uk, London area, for about 700€.
I am very looking forward to may estate, as I always wanted one. Hope the condition is not too bad.
Re-registered with new car to arrive soon

Re: Re-registered with new car to arrive soon
Mine is a 1971 MK2 PI, but thanks for emailing him.
The problem with the big 6 in germany is that they are not fetching any money. A real good 2,5 pi should fetch no more than 1000-1500€ with current TÜV (german MOT equivalent) on ebay.
And that´s the reason why no one will pay reasonable money for them cars.
As soon as I have the time I´ll pull it out of the garage and take some pics and put it on the classifieds here and if it doesn´t go , then on ebay.co.uk
